In 35 years of experience, I have learned that the spaces in which we live and work are not simply the result of advanced construction techniques or the use of fine and expensive materials. Above all, they are a reflection of the emotions they can evoke. With commitment and passion, I have developed the ability to recognize and value the beauty and well-being that a well-designed environment can offer.
When I design a space, together with my collaborators, I focus on two fundamental aspects. The first concerns the awareness that tensions often arise in the home between those who share it, such as between partners or with children, caused by the layout of spaces. Each person has specific needs and requirements for privacy that only the right distribution of space and appropriate furniture can satisfy. For example, if one person watches television while the other reads a book, an ideal solution is to have a television that allows the use of headphones. Or, for a couple who wake up at different times, a wardrobe outside the bedroom is useful.
The second aspect concerns the emotions one wishes to feel inside one’s home: What memories should be evoked and what essential elements should not be missing. Often, my clients want to keep certain affective furnishings and continue living according to their own habits.
The choice of specific furnishings to be integrated, careful planning, the conscious use of colors, textures, and the inclusion of elements such as music and scents, allow us to touch people’s emotional chords, engaging their senses in a unique experience.
To achieve these goals, I collaborate with Miriana, a professional coach. Together, we take care of the listening phase, which is crucial to understanding our clients’ needs during the renovation. We gather valuable information that allows us to present plans, renderings and detailed estimates in line with the expectations of those who rely on us. If the client decides to proceed, we take care of every aspect, from the renovation to the implementation of the installations and the details of the furnishings, using trusted craftsmen.
I conclude with a personal reflection: I used to see my work from an outside perspective, now I experience it fully. I wish you to look at your homes with the same awareness and passion.
